Gee, of course you're right!  Thanks for pointing this out.  But
makeinfo should have pointed out this to me :(

Actually this macro is used throughout the document with numbers, as
\num\ demonstrates it.  And I used the same macro to document the use
with numbers:

        @cindex @address@hidden
        The @href{http://www.gotw.ca/gotw/, Guru of the Week Archive} (the
        famous GotW) is freely available.  In this document,
        @address@hidden refers to the item number @var{n}.

That was my mistake :)
