Category: makeinfo
Release:
Priority: Normal
Severity: 5 - Average
Item Group: bug
Status: Open
Assigned to: None
Resolution: None
Summary: shouldn't always be omitted since writing to stdout
Original Submission: with @contents/@shortcontents at the end of the document
(not a very important case) and with @printindex (important), it should be
possible to generate output even when writing to stdout, since all the
information has already been read from the document. Instead of:
warning: address@hidden cp' omitted since writing to stdout.
for example with makeinfo -o - --html indexsimple.texi
where indexsimple.texi is:
input texinfo
@setfilename indexsimple.info
@node Top
@top Simple Index
@cindex simple
@printindex cp
@bye
