Hello,
I've compared two versions of texinfo.tex in berlios CVS.
(I know you've moved back to savannah but I haven't caught up yet.)
I beleive version 1.41 (berlios) is better then 1.43 (HEAD in berlios).
Thus I suggest to apply the attached patch, which reverts the latest
changes to \node code. (Unless there is something in savannah.)
Both versions do exactly the same, an equivalent of sed command
s/ \?,.*//
but I beleive the code from rev. 1.41 is nicer.
