I've been doing that for 15 years or so with no problems ever reported.
So I don't think I'll take that advice.

One of the frustrating things is that in the early days of autoconf, we
(I say "we" since I was involved early on and contributed to the problem
as much as anyone) didn't document "sunos 3.2 had this bug", since it
was so much simpler to write "some system".  And so now all these
ancient limitations are still around ...
