Since there are only a few quotes in section titles in LilyPond manual -- IIRC there is only one title in French with quotes -- support for non-English quotes in normal text will be an important improvement. John, regarding the "European" quotes: would it be useful to you to have them if they only come out right in the main body text? The "quick" implementation we can do won't handle them in chapter/section titles, etc. (They'll just come out in text size everywhere.) The right thing will have to wait for the complete font support rewrite, which is still making progress but not yet releasable. Thanks, k
