I used gnulib from Debian unstable
The concept of a "packaged" gnulib makes little sense to me. Anyway.

Another .cvsignore problem. It seems gnulib-tool is automatically
.cvsignore-ing everything. I'll have to ask Bruno.
Meanwhile, building from a fresh checkout succeeds for me now, although
no doubt it will still be broken for everyone else.

This repeated breakage is actually a fairly recent phenomenon.
Wouldn't it be easier and more reliable to just leave off gnulib
from CVS
Maybe that's the best way to go. What concerns me about it is that then
people will be compiling with different versions of Gnulib. Especially
approaching a release. We'll see.
