Thanks for the suggestion(s), Benno.

1) Sergey, if you feel like hacking on this, please do.  Otherwise, 
   I will put it in the queue for some future hacker to work on.  (I
   doubt that I myself will ever really work on standalone info again.)

2) I don't entirely understand all the behavior being proposed, but I
   don't need to :).  My only suggestion is that the default be the same
   as whatever Emacs Info does in the same case.
