Re: the defaults for `info`

Hi Benno,

I'd like to separate the question of info's default behavior from the
question of the range of its possible behaviors. I'm not saying that
the defaults shouldn't be changed, necessarily, but it's two different
things, and let's address them separately.

So, I see no problem with adding another set of key bindings / variable
settings / whatever to make it behave like a pager (or however you want
to describe your preferred behavior) when an option, say --like-pager,
is specified. Whatever the default is, we'd want an easy way to switch
between any such behavior "groups", so such an option is desirable in
any case.

As usual, standalone Info just can't be my personal priority. But if
you and Sergey want to devise the necessary changes and info-stnd.texi
additions, please go ahead and do that.

Does some other program already have command line switches to control
such overall behavior? (So we could try to be compatible.) Maybe
--behavior={pager,vi,emacs} would be better than --like-pager.
--vi-keys can become a synonym for whatever we come up.

As for the default, let's discuss that another day.

Thanks,
Karl
