Which IMHO is too bad, since now, instead of using a small stand-alone
executable, everybody will have to install a humongous Perl distro.
While some systems come with Perl pre-installed, not all of them do.

But since I no longer do any useful work on Texinfo, I guess I have no
say in this matter.
