Follow-up Comment #7, bug #32975 (project texinfo):

Hi Sergey -- please do fix error() and fatal() (and anything else) to be
standard stdarg stuff, instead of the weird K&R varargs-ish approach rms took
20 years ago.  fixing makevars would be great too, thanks.
