What do you see as the role of DocBook in the texinfo project? Is it just another output format you'd like to support, or do you see it as "strategic"? I think it may make sense to position DocBook as I use it: For those who want finer-grained control or processing. You use the default texi2any to generate pdf or html [*] and get readable but plain output; if you want fancier or customized output, go via DocBook.
