They may be used to check for regressions.  But one should regenerate
the results first.

Yes, the following one:

Most of the makeinfo/texi2any features are untested if you don't run tp/
tests, as the bulk of the tests are done there.  The "normal" tests in
tp/tests only test for features that requires running the command (such
as command line options).
