Hi Vincent - Emacs display issues are surely something to report to bug-emacs or emacs-devel, if you can find something reproducible with the current version and starting up with -q --no-site-file. I have experienced many issues over the years wrt crlf display, so a bug in an old version would not be surprising or worth reporting.
ok, I will try and build the latest on trunk in the first place before anything...
Yes, I understood that this was what you were describing. However your question was whether it was the so called bug #38795 that I was trying to report, and the answer to this question is no.Regarding texi2any behavior, what I described was processing a consistently-CRLF input file and outputting (on a Unix system) LF everywhere *except* inside the DIR-ENTRY section, where the ^M was preserved. That is definitely a bug, the ^M shouldn't be there. That's all.
Anyway, I think that I may have met quite some time ago the problem that you are describing, maybe it was incompletely corrected then. Anyway, I cannot reproduce it on MSW with the texi2any that I am using, I should also cvs co the latest before anything.
Best, k
BR V.
