  Hello,

Recently, Karl Berry pointed me to the DEL[1] trick for protecting
problematic anchor names in Info. I have a couple of suggestions and
(probably) a bug report.

1. The node "Info Format Regular Nodes" points back to "Node Line
Requirements" in the manual, which is a good thing. Conversely, I think
it would be good if that node had a mention of the trick in question.
There's only a mention of avoiding the warnings, so it's not clear that
a workaround exists at all.

2. I also suggests that when you call makeinfo with
INFO_SPECIAL_CHARS_QUOTE set, INFO_SPECIAL_CHARS_WARNING is
automatically turned off. It is pointless to get this warning when
basically, you know what you're doing.

3. Finally, I did a quick test of this feature (test file attached), and
it seems to work fine with Texinfo 6.6, except for menus. The weird node
is not clickable in the menu.

Apart from that, it seems that the current Info mode in Emacs is unaware
of this feature, but I guess that's not your problem ;-)
