Rust, for example. Even Python.

No, it isn't. Look at GDB: they are still doing it, after so many
years.
What is easy is to compile a C program with a C++ compiler, but that
is hardly a change for the better.
Anyway, it isn't for us to decide, so I see no reason to continue this
discussion between the two of us.
