FWIW, i had to make a similar change in my src tree a couple of weeks
ago but didn't have time to pursue it.  i believe echristo had done a
similar thing in his tree has well, but hadn't submitted it yet
either.  8-S


(hey, and now that i'm back from USENIX, maybe i'll have time to work
on that XML thing.  *sigh*)
