I grabbed the HEAD from the server mentioned on the www.gnu.org/software/dejagnu page, which I now know is the secondary repo (but Rob keeps them synchronized). I even renamed/checked-in the CVS subdirs so that I could more easily update/import later. I used the utterance mentioned listed.

BTW, when I built DG, somehow 2 of the configure scripts got locally re-autoconf'd, with autoconf version 2.57. (The originals seem to have been generated by version 2.54.) So, haven't tested _exactly_ what's in TOT. Just wanted to be complete.

Uh, oh. I have imported (and tested) top-of-tree from CVS, added a fix to proc find in utils.exp (similar to HJ's, but a bit better, and -- tested, and which I will submit shortly), and run all our GCC tests (4 languages) + libstdc++, with no discrpancies wrt our previous, really old version (1.3.1).
So, I prefer to post patches against top-of-tree :-(.
Probably on the `proc find' issues matters, i.e., perhaps you and I could synchronize to start with.

OK. I'll try testing against HEAD. But which HEAD? i.e. there
are two master servers at the moment. If you would give me the
precise command to grab the references sources...
