Jacob, folks,

I think the current Dejagnu codebase (4e4eb1534b4) contains a bug
that was initially reported here:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=460153

I am unable to find that commit in my repository. Are you sure that it is in Savannah?

The bug contains both reproducer and a short patch. Please,
consider upstreaming it.

Please resubmit the report to <bug-dejagnu@gnu.org> to create an entry in the GNU bug tracker. (This bug is so old that it predates the installation of the current bug tracker.) On one hand, test scripts are not supposed to leave an error "hanging" like that; on the other, far more importantly, future native parallel testing support will require isolating test scripts from each other, so this is indeed a bug to fix. As the behavior changed only affects testsuites that were not following "the rules" and will support future efforts for bigger features, this can land on 1.6.4 once it has a GNU bug number for the records.

Thank you,
