Just as an idea, while reviewing free software, why not create a
database, showing what free alternatives are available to proprietry software.
eg. People using microsoft outlook, looking for a similar thing on a linux
platform may look towards evolution or similar.
A searchable
database which allows people to specify what they currently use, which can
deliver an alternative list. The list could probably be further refined by
allowing them to select features they require.
Quite a large task,
I know. But, probably, this would work well as a port of call for companies
looking to move to free software. Especially useful (IMHO) in getting people to
realise that there is another way.
Just my 2 cents
worth anyway.
