Ouups, yeah.  As RMS said, 23.0.0.1 is unicode, 23.0.51 is multi-tty and
23.0.50 is the trunk.  Crystal clear!

The multi-tty branch has been merged in the trunk.  To sync with it, you
just have to do the plain'ol

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/sources/emacs co emacs

and forget about the -rMULTI_TTY after.

If you want to change your repos to trunk directly, just cvs up -rTRUNK,
IIRC.
