Fortunately, people differ on the definition of "boring".  I just wrote a
little program for Debian that configures sysvinit symlinks.  I will not be
compensated for my work in any material way.  Most hackers would find such
a job a crashing bore, but I found it entertaining.

Gnucash and SQL-Ledger are definitely Free.
