Look, making an identical copy involves no creative work whatsoever,
and yet the original copyright does not magically cease.
Compressing the file and taking the even-numbered bits contains no
protected expression, and taking the odd-numbered bits likewise
contains no protected expression. Yet parts of the original
information make it into each of the files, just like with symbol
tables.
