Do you have any particular reason to doubt him?  RMS is known to have 
other people post for him.  RMS is known to know karl@tug.org 
sufficiently well to have stayed at his house when visiting California.  
karl@tug.org is a well-known contributor to GNU software of nearly 20 
years.  The content of the post matches RMS' known positions.c
