Eben Moglen on Free Software and Free Media

Professor Moglen is currently a Professor of Law and Legal
History at Columbia Law School as well as the General Counsel for
 the Free Software Foundation.

"Free software puts in the hands of users the rules about packet
distribution in the devices and networks that the software
powers. That means free software plays a smaller or larger role
in the determination of media concentration, according as users
have more or less control over the network that envelopes their
lives. Media concentrators know this to be true, and are
adversaries of free software. I will describe how we will fight
 back, and win."

The event is free, open to the public and the site is fully accessible.
