Well, also a nice link, thanks.  The "ports" subdirectory contains a
number of ports not maintained in main glibc tree.

Nevertheless, the following link might be more informative:

While this points to

(taken relatively to your link) as a reference, I don't see any
worthwhile information in addition to the FAQ link.
