What about some sort of saving provision, eg. "In the event this licence
(or a later version) is deemed by a court of law to be invalid then the
code is hereby licensed under GPL v2."? It might resolve uncertainty in
the unlikely event described - otherwise different contributors might
not all relicense under the same licence?

//apologies if this has been discussed earlier and/or elsewhere - this
was only my first look at GPLv3.
