I can't hope to read the entire volume of the site without spending
many hours that I feel are best devoted to other things.

What comes next, please read:

I just finished looking over the "GNU/Linux" FAQ _again_ (_and_
the "Linux and GNU" page: http://www.gnu.org/gnu/linux-and-gnu.html),
and even closer and longer than my last look, and still could not find
what I was looking for. Why can't you just point me to the proper
location on the FAQ or the containing page where the answer is?
Just point to the location on the page, you don't have to repeat all
it's content in the posting. *Why must the credit be given in the
_name_ and not somewhere else?*
