A great deal of code is licensed under the GPL. I'm sure that
somewhere in there is something that would be useful to someone
who is writing a non-free program.

Because of the stringent Abstraction-Filtration-Comparison
test, it would be child's play to rearrange, rename and
otherwise obsfucate GPL'd code to evade copyright problems
-- in fact there exist hacker code processing programs that
can easily achieve that goal. That no one does this obsfucation
is a testament to the fact there is really nothing worth stealing
in GPL'd code -- believe me, if it was worth the effort it
would be done.

Why steal a Linux kernel when a superior BSD licensed kernel
exists? The sole value of GPL'd code is the benefit it bestows
upon IBM and a few major Linux distributors in deterring competition
from small companies -- while Microsoft laughs its ass off. Eben
Moglen and Daniel Ravicher have, of course, sucked over a million
dollars out of the SFLC's public contributions for "officers
salaries and services". That's as lucrative as working for Fannie
Mae or Freddie Mac.

Why not join RMS is celebrating the evils of capitalism along with
with some of our World's great leaders?

Go ahead -- gloat a little. SOCIALISM TRIUMPHS!!!!!
