Just a reminder to everyone - copyright law is an arbitrary and capricious set of rules made up by people with vested interests. You should not expect logic and consistency to carry the day.

That's right Hyman. These messy rules are part of the function
of something called a capitalistic democracy. We can easily
distinguish this form of rulemaking from a socialist theocracy
like the FSF where the Lord and High Priest Stallman makes the rules.
