Are you intentionally missunderstanding me?

I am talking about a GPL work that uses non-GPL libs.

Using GPL libs from non-GPL code is at least problematic and this is one reason 
why libcdio most likely cannot be used from GNOME via GTsreamer.... Sun did 
remove it, what are Linux distros doing?
