At least Larceny (http://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/will/Larceny/) says
it generates native code on SPARC machines (I haven't tested it).
And I suppose Chez Scheme also compiles to native code, doesn't it?
MIT Scheme says it has a native-code compiler, too. I wondered how
fast they are. Maybe I should try.
