Say you have an app that when it starts up, eventually calls a scheme
function that's bound to a C function that drops off into gtk_main.
Could the system be rearranged during debugging so that you to launch
the gtk_main caller in a separate guile coop thread leaving you back
at the guile prompt for debugging?

Presuming this would work, how much care would be needed wrt to race
conditions. Would we need to go as far as just having the prompt
submit your debugging forms to the gtk_main thread via a queue for
processing at idle time via gh_eval_str (or gh_apply("eval" ...)), or
is it sufficient to not call app specific functions that might
"interfere" with each other.

Thanks
