If you want to get an easy start with Scheme concepts using Guile which
reads more familiarly, you can just go for reading the Wisp tutorial:

Those are the basic control constructs. With those understood, you can
go for anything else with Scheme, and the parens won’t faze you, since
you already know the concepts behind the structures.
