That is the idea behind the GNU Health Federation. Each node (Hospital,
Laboratory or individual with MyGNUHealth) can work autonomously
without the need of Internet. At the moment that they have connectivity
and wish to send the information to the GH Federation Health
information system, the information collected will be aggregated.

There you'll find information related to the Hospital Management,
MyGNUHealth and the GH Federation message server (Thalamus).
