I think the conclusion is that people do one or the other,
and never the 'twain shall meet.
I did not discover this bug, it was a colleague who
I have shown "The ONE True Way", because he is just
starting with emacs, he is using the menus / file dialogue.
And oddly, the lack of a standard windows file open dialogue
was one of the things I dis-liked about emacs when I first
"converted". Now that emacs has one, I never-ever-ever use it.
