Having a bit of trouble tracking this down... The string `ediff' does not appear in .emacs or ~/emacs/site-lisp/site-start.el Can it be something unrealeted to ediff causing this? I have a package from Stephan Monnier called diff-mode.el... is that a stock part of the install?
