My impression is that the FAQ is currently waay out of
date and that its utility is being superceded by the
wiki.

I don't remember much discussion that opposed the idea
of folding help for emacs on Windows into the wiki.
It is the solution I would favor; and it would
probably lead eventually to a better organization of
the material.  It also makes it much easier in future
for anyone to make contributions to make it more
complete.  Another argument is that newbies often
don't know what is Windows-specific and what is not.
By putting both kinds of information in the same wiki,
we could eliminate the possibility of a seeker going
to the 'wrong' place.
