People should generally be pointed to the docs bundled with their
version.  The features whose descriptions I added to the manual were
available in the on-line doc strings, so it's not that they were
completely hidden from users, even in older versions.

In any case, mine was a general gripe: it's frustrating to work on the
manual, only to see messages that tell people to look in the wiki's
and google as their first resort.  At least let's first ask explicitly
whether the user tried the docs.

AFAIR, that was only about URLs.  Those should not be in the manual,
as the links are under a high risk of becoming invalid.  If it's
important to have those URLs in Emacs, we could try putting them in
the FAQ.
