[Help-gsl] Getting the output from *.o file

Hi,

I have just downloaded the GSL from the internet and found it to be very 
fascinating. However, after installation of the code I tried to run one of the 
examples and created the object file example.o. But I am not able to execute 
this file to get an output. I have installed the software both in LINUX and 
CYGWIN, and both are giving similar problems.How to get the output from the 
object file ?
