How to get rid of sticky options

Somehow, (I know it's my fault, but let's ignore that), the -kb sticky
option is set on a text file in my repository by mistake.  Now, cvs can't
merge my file correctly because it think the file is binary.  How do I get
rid of the sticky option.  I looked at all the cvs admin -kMODE options.
But, there is no way to "turn off" the sticky option.  

Can someone please help?
