Hi,

Several months ago we removed a file from the CVS tree, and now we are
trying to check a file with the same name back in again.

1038 percival:Keil |> cvs update
cvs update: Updating .
cvs update: use `cvs add' to create an entry for standalonegeneva.lnp

1039 percival:Keil |> cvs add standalonegeneva.lnp
cvs add: re-adding file standalonegeneva.lnp (in place of dead
revision 1.2)
cvs add: use 'cvs commit' to add this file permanently

1040 percival:Keil |> cvs commit
cvs commit: Examining .
cvs commit: cannot add file `standalonegeneva.lnp' when RCS file
`/home/cvsroot/Apps/Geneva/Bootstrap/Keil/standalonegeneva.lnp,v'
already exists
cvs [commit aborted]: correct above errors first!

(forgive the obscure prompts)

What is wrong? CVS was making the correct noises all the way until
the commit, when it broke.

Thanks for any help,
Ross Burton

PS: Can anyone recomend a decent CVS guide?
