This file is not created by cvs. It is created by log_accum.pl. The file
will not problems for cvs itself, but could cause some strange behavior by
the script. If you have several such files, or one more than an hour old,
ask the cvs administrator, or whoever install log_accum.pl, to look into it.

You haven't given much to explain. The lastdir file is not causing this
problem.
