What happens if someone wants to post a vbs script that works with
cvs?

Fortunately, that's at least less likely.  Most of us deal with CVS on Unix
boxes of some sort, and Virus-writers' Benefactor System doesn't run on
those.
Of course, we have had automated complaints about Perl, and I would imagine
that lots of us use Perl.  Still, some people have to deal with CVS on NT
boxes, and I suppose they may use such tools.

It wouldn't be so bad if (by my count) six different automated checkers
hadn't posted to the list, and if we couldn't expect the same six to
do so again the next time somebody uses Outlook absent-mindedly.

Could we filter out the incoming messages so that they would have to be
from somebody on the list, rejecting messages from people like
MAILER-DAEMON?
