Instead of parsing CVS/Entries, it is also possible to use cvs to get the branch information while running a command from commitinfo. cvs -n stat <filename> and look for a line like: ^\s+Sticky Tag:\s+<branchname> \(branch: <rev. #>\)$ Jerry
