First off, please send future questions to address@hidden and not directly to 
me.

Second off, never do what you are decsribing.  You should be using pserver and 
not local mounts.
Search the info-cvs email archive for more - this question comes up a lot.  The 
communication page
on http://cvshome.org has more information on email list access.
