Well, your memory really is short then.  Why we were discussing
theoretical implementations of better handling for non-mergable files
just the other day!

Well it does anyway -- I just want it returned to enforcing its
insistence instead of making lame warnings.

I haven't called it anything yet, but if I did call it something I might
use the name NCVS (and because we now know your memory is really short,
let me remind you that of course this serves as at least the second
claim to that name that I've made).
