Normally, there should be no problems.  However, there is one very important thing that I discovered at my last workplace:

If you are using the cvs version installed with Cygwin and cvs in client/server mode, make absolutely certain that you are using the cygwin version of RSH!  You can do this by either setting the CVS_RSH environment variable, putting cygwin directories ahead of windows directories in your path, or renaming/deleting Windows' RSH.EXE.

The version of CVS that comes with Cygwin assumes it's on a UNIX system and that the rsh it uses does NOT do CR-stripping; however, the Windows rsh DOES do CR-stripping.

If you're not using Cygwin, don't worry about it.

Hello,

The clients using our cvs systems are windows and linux machines. Is there anybody who knows if there are problems using both? Problems with line breaking?

Thanks for your answer
