Checkin the old revision

[hemkumar balla]

I had the revision trunk and i checked out the older
stable version and made some changes to work properly.
I want to checkin the file or merge the file at the
same revision. Can any one help me how to do it? is it
posible?

1. Repository contains the file sample.bat of latest
revision 5.0
2. I checked out the file at revision 1.1
3. After modifications when i am checking in the file
it is giving a warning 

cvs ci  Projects/sample.bat
cvs commit: sticky tag `1.1' for file
`Projects/sample.bat' is not a
 branch
cvs [commit aborted]: correct above errors first!

Please help me how to do it.
