The entire log. You can use the -r option to see just the revisions on
a branch.

CVS does not version directories, only files. Thus, directories are not
"on the trunk" or "on a branch", they just are. Doing checkout or
update on a branch automatically implies -P which prunes empty
directories.

I find that hard to believe. Are you sure they don't contain hidden
files?
