CVS Login Prolblems

Hi,

We do developement on a Windows NT server and the repository is located on a Solaris server.  We use 'pserver' method to checkout the sources to do our windows NT builds.  This was working fine, but all of the sudden things stop working and I am unable to login.  I get the following messages:

        D:\rnd\build\mps_build\mps1.1.0>env | grep CVS
        CVSROOT=:pserver:address@hidden:/vps/vps-repository

        D:\rnd\build\mps_build\mps1.1.0>cvs login
        (Logging in to address@hidden)
        CVS password:
        cvs [login aborted]: unrecognized auth response from phoenix1: cvs [pserver aborted]: bad auth protocol end: RKZe8#y]

        D:\rnd\build\mps_build\mps1.1.0>

Any idea of what is going on?

Any suggestions on how to track the problem down?
